Kalen Scholz
Biography:
she/her
Kalen first began her yoga practice in 2012 when, in the midst of marathon training, she realized that it might be a good idea to start stretching. She discovered that after many years of endurance sports training, her body could do a lot, but also needed some serious care and recovery. As her practice evolved, she began to discover the benefits of slowing down to connect with breath and to appreciate the opportunity to notice what’s going on in her heart and mind as well. She believes this inner connection and self-awareness help her to be a better parent and a better person. She is enthusiastic about creating the space for others to also find these benefits through yoga. As a teacher, she strives to provide a balance between empowering challenges and chances to slow down and be gentle with oneself. Kalen graduated from 200-hour teacher training at 5 Points in March of 2020 and completed her 300-hour training through M3Yoga in December of 2021.
