Where are you from? August, Georgia
How long have you lived in Athens? I did my undergrad here, moved away for 2 years, and I’ve been back for 5 years!
What’s your passion? Finding what makes me and others come alive
Favorite book? Exodus by Leon Uris. It’s a very thick book, but so worth the read!
Favorite movie? Patch Adams. I love the joy that the lead character brings to everyone else, even with his own personal challenges.
Favorite restaurant? South Kitchen. Their macaroni and cheese is phenomenal!
When did you start practicing yoga and why?
I began practicing yoga in 2016 after a few years of doing acro yoga and thinking I didn’t like “regular yoga.” I had a not-so-great experience with one class and decided yoga wasn’t for me. I’m glad that I had many friends encourage me to try yoga again and now it’s a huge part of my life
What’s your favorite yoga style?
How long have you taught yoga? What inspired you to teach?
I have taught yoga since Sept. 2019 after completing my 200 hr training at M3! I wanted to deepen my practice while also being able to inspire people to experience yoga and see that it can be accessible for anyone!
What’s your advice to someone who is new to yoga?
Be open-minded to trying different styles to find what works best for you.
What is your favorite pose?
Headstand! Once I learned how to do a headstand, I began doing them everywhere I travel (England, Israel, Dominican Republic, and all around the US)!
What’s your favorite class at M3?
I most enjoy super stretch. I love the focus on one muscle group, and somehow it’s always what I need!
What do you enjoy most about M3?
The community. M3 has built such an incredible group of teachers and practitioners with classes and experiences that almost anyone can connect with.
