Sonja was first introduced to practicing yoga in 2007 when she discovered mindfulness and meditation. She spent several years studying Kriya Yoga through the Center for Spiritual Awareness located in Lakemont, Georgia and expanded into practicing hot yoga in 2012 when she joined a nearby yoga studio as a volunteer.

As a huge believer in the mind-body connection and movement, Sonja also began practicing reformer and mat pilates in 2017 after giving birth to her first child and discovering the benefits of strengthening the body through core-focused movements and breathing. She went on to complete training for Inferno Hot Pilates in 2022 and believes in creating a fun, energetic, inspiring, yet challenging environment for all classes.

Outside of the studio, Sonja enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and self-discovery.
