Whitney Woodruff

Biography:

she/her

Whitney’s yoga journey began in 2018 during her own spiritual inquiry – seeking a balance of mind and body healing. She brings this appreciation of holistic somatics to her classes, meeting students where they are while encouraging self-exploration through focus on breath and alignment. She is an advocate for social awareness and Black and queer inclusivity. Her goal is to create a non-assuming community, where students use yoga to facilitate their own empowered identity and ability. She also carries this mindset into her love for the outdoors, as a hiking leader for Blk Hiking Club. She also enjoys traveling, eating new foods, and spoiling her Siamese kitten (Pebbles).

Whitney completed her 200 hour teaching certification through M3 Yoga and 50 hour trauma sensitive yoga (TSY) certification through Buffalo and Sparrow in 2021.
