I miss you. Whether we’ve seen each other 1,000 times or once, I am seriously missing connecting with our M3 Warriors.
And I hope you’re well. And that your family and friends are too. I am happy to report that our M3 team and family are.
I wanted to take a minute to check in and just see how you’re doing. It’s been 10 days since we temporarily closed down the studio’s in-person classes, and it feels much longer to us. I’m sure you’re feeling a medley of things as well.
I want you to know that I, Matt, and our entire team, are here for you. Always.
We’ve been working so hard to bring you the best damn virtual yoga experience possible. From professional lighting and sound equipment to filming for hours at a time.
Our team is working hard to support you.
Because we believe in you and we believe in the power of yoga.
And right now is when yoga can become your super power. Being ok sitting in discomfort or stillness are tools our teachers have equipped you with.
Right now being a virtual yoga studio is our new normal. It’s not what we signed up for, but it’s what our reality is. And instead of fighting that, we dove in head first to ensure your yoga practice doesn’t stop and that our community keeps going. I’m using my yoga super power to handle that discomfort—the discomfort that comes from learning in a few days how to produce, edit and publish high quality videos and livestreams.
How to keep practicing yoga with us
M3online – An online portal with more than 50 pre-recorded video and audio classes from the M3 instructors you love. Ranging from 10 to 75 minute classes to fit your new life. More added daily!
You can join M3online for $22/month per household. It’s free for monthly, semester and prepaid members.
M3live – Daily livestreamed classes broadcast live from the studio via Zoom. Practice right alongside our instructors (and turn on your webcam so we can see you!). It’s so much fun and helps provide structure and accountability for your pratice.
You can join an M3live class by grabbing a membership, 10 class pass or doing a virtual drop-in one class pass.
It is so important we don’t give up on ourselves, our health or our humanity. Yoga can be a strong component to all of these things.
We’ve created these virtual platforms to continue to be your home away from home, temporarily within your home.
Don’t stop practicing.
M3 Friday Night Check-in Call
You’re invited! We’re hosting our first Community Check-in Call this Friday, March 27 at 7pm.
It’s an informal, free Zoom call where we will connect with our community, talk, laugh, cry, etc. You can ask us questions, tell us stories, show off the yoga pose you’ve been working on with your dog, whatever.
This is another way we’re working to bring our community virtual during this temporary new normal.
The link for the meeting is below. Or you can write down the Zoom meeting code and join that way. The code is: 425-165-707.
I hope to see you there. I know a good number of our team plan to hop on at some point.
We plan on doing these as frequently as we can so we can continue to foster connection among each other. Community is so important right now – we are innovating ways to safely bring that core value to life in this new normal.
I feel like I’m saying this a lot, but it’s warranted: Thank you. Thank you to those who have reached out to us or to our team in this challenging time.
Your kind words are what help make the long, hard days worthwhile. So please know that we are reading those messages and smiling with open hearts.
I wish I could tell you this will all be over soon, but the truth is we don’t know. And that’s ok. Again, part of our yoga practice is learning to be ok with discomfort. With the unknown. And the world is full of it right now.
We will be ok. You will be ok. The world will be ok.
It may take time and it may not be the way it was “before,” but things will be ok. And this new normal will become normal. And we’ll all grow older and say “Remember when?”
I want to once again encourage you to keep supporting your local businesses, including M3Yoga. That is one of the most impactful things you can do right now because there aren’t vast resources out there for small, local owned businesses like there are for larger ones.
I also want to again promise you we are doing everything we can to provide you the best yoga possible. And we will continue to do so until it isn’t practical.
Thank you for those of you who have adapted to the new normal—whether that’s enjoying an M3online video or taking an M3live class. We really have been comforted seeing our Warriors continue their practices.
Matt and I continue to send so much love and support to each and every one of you. We want happy, healthy, strong Warriors to hug on the other end of this.
We miss your smiles, your laughs, your jokes, YOU. But we know we’ll see you again, and that makes it all ok.
Be safe. Keep washing your hands and social distancing. Keep practicing and keep sending love to our community, our world, those suffering and, most importantly, yourself.
With a warm heart,
