Note from Nick & Matt to Current Members

We hope this email finds you and your loved ones healthy and happy. You have been on our minds, and we are sending so much love your way. We’re sending this email out to only our monthly, semester and prepaid members to check in.

We wanted to reach out to say Thank You. Thank you for being a Warrior. For supporting our mission of modern, accessible yoga. For helping us help people for a living. For helping Athens stay strong, safe and sane.

Your continued support of M3Yoga has been invaluable in a frankly scary time to be small business owners—a time in which there are way more questions and unknowns than answers.

As we hit the official 1 month mark of stopping in-person classes, we hope you have been able to enjoy the M3online and M3live classes our team has worked hard to put together. We continue to commit to providing you the best virtual yoga possible.

We’re at the point where we assume this will continue for the next 30 days or so. And that when we launch in-studio classes again it will most likely be in a hybrid fashion, with both virtual and live classes being offered until we are able to ensure the continued safety of our community. With that in mind, we’ve come to a decision to reduce all membership rates to match our Virtual Pass pricing of $78 per month for the time being.

What that means is that if your membership rate is higher than $78, it will automatically be lowered while we are a virtual only studio. We do this because you are our family. Our community. And it feels wrong to charge you a higher rate during a time in which newer Warriors can take virtual classes for $78/month.

That said, we also want to be open and honest that many of our Warriors are hurting right now. We’ve had dozens reach out and cancel or pause due to job loss, furloughs and more.

So, if you’d like to keep your rate the same, we will donate the excess to covering the memberships of our Warriors who are struggling to practice.

Normally, we’d help cover the cost of Warriors like this on our own, but the number of members hit by this economic downturn is too much for our business to cover it all. So here’s your chance to be a hero to another Warrior.

But please don’t feel pressured to do so. There’s nothing wrong with deciding you need some relief too and taking the rate reduction.

If you’d like to opt out of the rate lowering, please let us know. If your rate is $78 or lower already and you’d like to donate to other Warriors let us know.

Also, if you are a Mini or Medium member and would like unlimited classes during this time, you can upgrade to the Virtual rate of $78 too and go back to your normal rate once in-person classes resume. Just reply and let us know to upgrade you.

Right now M3Yoga is sustainable in the short term. We are hoping some of the promised governmental aid will come through, though none has yet (despite us being on top of it). We will always be open and honest with you if things become dire, because we’re a community that values transparency. Right now, we are ok, but rely on the continued support of Warriors like you to stay that way.

We also want to know how we can help you. We have created a short survey to know how we can better serve you as a virtual studio in this trying time, and also if there is anything we can do for our community as a whole. Please take 2-3 minutes to let us know what you need. We really value your feedback.

We are sending you so many well wishes. We cannot wait for the day when we can practice with you in studio again. We miss the energy, the smiles, the laughter, the tears, the accomplishments. But please know, we are still here for all of that as it happens from your home.

We love you. So very much. Thank you again for everything.

With full hearts,
Nick and Matt
