Where are you from? Rockaway, NJ

How long have you lived in Athens? Since 1995, I believe. I just had my Athiversary during the Georgia-Florida weekend

What’s your passion? Education, girl empowerment- Strong Girls, yoga and CrossFit

Favorite book? Alexander and the No Good, Terrible Horrible Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst

Favorite movie? That’s tough; I studied film theory as an undergrad. Original Breathless, Hall Harley movies, John Hughes, Elizabethtown. I also worked on casting for a few movies!

Favorite restaurant? The National

When did you start practicing yoga and why?
I started practicing yoga after a long illness. I had 7 surgeries for Endometriosis, nothing was really helping the pain. I found therapeutic yoga and it changed my life.

What’s your favorite yoga style?
I love vinyasa with alignment. I also love a fun practice. My second fave would be kid’s yoga.

How long have you taught yoga? What inspired you to teach?
Since the mid-2000s. My own journey inspired me and I wanted to bring yoga to students and people with disabilities.

What’s your advice to someone who is new to yoga?
Keep trying. There is no bad at yoga. Try to make it fun. Try different styles and teachers.

What is your favorite pose?
I have three: handstand, vashistasana and bird of paradise.

What’s your favorite class to teach at M3? Favorite to take?
I teach a Flow class. I’ve loved all the classes I have taken at M3 for different reasons.

Feeling welcome, diversity (people and classes), community and events
